Throwing Pebbles

Throwing Pebbles

Cleanse the water

One drop a time

Return to source

And lose it’s shine

A rage consumes

The useful mind

So efforts made

Are futile kind

Across the conscious

liquid, still

Dark from algae

There stands a girl

A natural soul

Earth daughter

Just throwing pebbles

At the water

Don’t play I say

It’s help I need

Alone I’ll fail

The water’s need

So delving in

Disturbing calm

But quickly fills

Behind my palm

Still peaceful

On the other side

Little stones dropped

With smiles

My efforts waste

Now stop and stand

See loving ripples

Reach the land

Little waves

Spread an array

Disturb the lull

And fade away

But followed

In a soothing wave

Of hope again

The lake to save

A look across

Reach down for rock

Smile a wish

Throw in the loch

And spreading out

The surface rolls

To our rhythms

From our souls

Together here

Smiling, facing

As the ripples

Interlacing

Like new lovers

Fingers linking

Across a table

Searching, feeling

Endless waves

Of resonance

Excite the water

From it’s trance

Crossing thoughts

Wishes, love

Makes crystal clear

All from above

A stagnant mind

One cannot bend

But tiny pebbles

Can transcend

From many sides

Make ripples come

And slowly move

Those static ones
